In year 1998 one of the best , and highly acclaimed game Half life was released.After 7 years of anticipation, Half life 2 released in 16th November 2004 to a massive mind blowing reception from fans as well as crities. The game was developed by Valve Corporation and it was released on November 16, 2004, following a five-year $40 million development, during which a substantial part of the project was leaked and distributed on the Internet. Like its predecessor, Half-Life 2 received critical acclaim. It was praised for its advanced physics, animation , sound, AI, graphics , and narrative . The game won 39 " Game of the Year " awards and the title of "Game Of The Decade" at the 2012 Spike Video Game Awards . As of February 9, 2011,Half-Life 2 had sold over 12 million copies.Half-Life 2 is considered one of the greatest video games of all time .But surely it is the greatest game of all time.   • The the story proceeds via exposition from other characters and in-world events, and ensures that the player controls Gordon for the entirety of the game.
  • When the music track Radio is played in reverse it's possible to faintly hear a woman saying either "Gordon, can you hear me? Gordon, can you hear me?" or "G-man, can you hear me? G-man, can you hear me?". Also Part of the soundtrack, Hazardous Environments , is also used in the Valve intro.
  • During development, it was intended for a friendly alien creature to follow Gordon Freeman around, feasting on dead enemy bodies. It was taken out when the developers realized that the AI would be too difficult to program.
  • The G-man can be seen in the distance at various points in the story, appearing to be watching over the player. The locations in which he appears are almost all unreachable, and he walks out of view as the player approaches.
  • When you first meet Barney, he says, "Now, about that beer I owe you". This is a reference to the original Half-Life.
